On Saturday from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, concerned parents bared the cold to ask for in-person learning for their students.
One outspoken parent of a First and Second grader told Seehafer News, “So many of the kids are failing with the virtual model. It’s so difficult for them, especially for the special needs kids. They’re in an impossible situation.”
She goes on to tell us her children’s personal struggle with online schooling.
“My second grader is struggling so badly. He’s shutting down. With his autism and stress, he’s starting to rub and pick his hands and fingers raw to the point where they’re bleeding. He doesn’t see home as school.”
When asked about how the students should return, she said, “I would personally give every parent a choice. At the minimum, the Special Ed kids should be back.”
Some of the signs read as “Education is Essential,” “Virtual is for Video Games,” “Give us Choice,” and “In-Person ASAP.”
