Two Business owners in Brown County have been sentenced in a 2017 financial scam case.
Malorie F. Berceau and Travis J. Ebert were ordered by the court to repay their victims nearly $400,000 after they scammed people out of their money.
The duo, who owned MFB Investments LLC, would reportedly offer to make trades on the penny stocks, and in cryptocurrency, but instead would use the money they collected for their own personal affairs.
Berceau was sentenced to 3.5 years in state prison, followed by 13 years of extended supervision, while Ebert will spend 5 years on probation and both will be required to pay the restitution.
