The Green Bay Packers will welcome a group of first responders and health care workers to Saturday’s home game against the Panthers.
About 250 frontline workers will be joined by family members in socially-distanced seating. Packers officials say it’s a sign of appreciation for the groups’ work during the coronavirus pandemic.
The team has been allowing some of its own employees to attend games but has never had more than a few hundred people in Lambeau Field’s more than 81,000 seats.
This is only the third Saturday game for the Packers since 1998. Green Bay has won five of its last six regular-season games played on a Saturday.
