Players on both sides of the border say they are glad the pandemic didn’t wipe out the Gopher-Badger rivalry game. It’s just being played a few weeks later than it was originally scheduled.
The 3-and-3 Minnesota Gophers meet the 2-and-3 Wisconsin Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium Saturday afternoon at 3:00 p-m.
The most-played Football Bowl Subdivision rivalry game was originally on the calendar for November 28th before cases of COVID-19 forced its postponement.
This will be the 130th meeting between the two schools.
Neither team has had the success that was expected, but both sides say they are happy to battle for Paul Bunyan’s Axe.
