Bail is set at $500 cash for a 30-year-old Manitowoc man charged for allegedly breaking into a local business last weekend.
Kyle J. Huybers is charged with burglary and one count of felony bail jumping. Police say they received an anonymous tip just before midnight last Saturday that a door to the establishment had been forced open. A tenant above the business told officers that he saw an outside door open and heard noises while a second tenant added he saw someone acting suspiciously with other reports stating they saw someone inside with the lights on.
Huybers was taken into custody Monday after authorities learned he was homeless and had broken into the business with the intent to sleep there and a relative identified photos of him on social media.
Conditions of bail are that Huybers have “no contact” with the victimized business, appear at the Police Department for photos and prints, and maintain absolute sobriety.
He remains in the County Jail with his initial appearance scheduled for December 28th at 1:30.
