The man facing charges in a driveway asphalt scam has pleaded not guilty.
Mico Miller is facing three counts of Theft by False Representation in Brown County, and similar charges in four other counties. However, Miller’s defense attorney said there is a chance that all of those charges could be consolidated into a single case.
Miller would reportedly show up to people’s homes unsolicited and offer to reseal their driveway. The people who say yes would then pay him, an initial payment, in some cases up to $3,000, and Miller would stop working halfway through the project. He would then demand additional payments.
The Better Business Bureau has warned of this exact scam happening throughout the state previously.
Miller will be back in Brown County Court on March 24th.
