Two persons were injured, one seriously, in a one-vehicle crash in Kewaunee County Saturday evening.
According to a news release from the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Office, a 54-year old Forestville man lost control of his SUV on an icy portion of State Highway 54 in the Town of Casco, crossed the road, and entered into the opposite ditch, where it rolled numerous times.
The driver was ejected and his passenger, a 55-year old Forestville woman, was trapped inside the wreckage and had to be extricated by members of the Luxemburg Fire Department.
Both occupants were transported by ambulance to a Green Bay hospital. The man suffered life-threatening injuries while the female’s injuries were less severe.
That crash remains under investigation.
