A Manitowoc County trust established to fund outdoor-related projects has issued a reminder that it is accepting applications for grants through December 28th.
FORWARD, which stands for Friends of Resources, Wildlife, and Recreational Development, was founded by the Manitowoc Unit of County Fish & Game. It’s now supported by a combination of funding from area sporting clubs along with private donations.
Spokesman Dean Halverson said there is generally $6,00 to $8,000 available for community projects in Manitowoc County tied to hunting, fishing-&-conservation.
The actual selection of grants will be made at the Gift Committee’s meeting in February of 2021.
Halverson says the group has ‘automated’ the applications, which are available at www.mantyfg.org.
The FORWARD Endowment has provided over $125,000 in grants since its’ inception.
