
The Manitowoc Police Department has released their monthly reports for the past three months, and the numbers show some interesting trends.
The reports show that in September, October and November, there were fewer calls for service than there were last year; however, in each month except October, there were more or an equal number of criminal charges. In September, officers were called for service 2,445 times, which is 345 fewer times than last September, however, there were 148 more adult criminal charges.
In October they were called 2,402 times, and issued 117 charges, compared to 2,861 calls, and 165 charges last year. And last month, the Police Department was called 2,205 times, which is 335 more times than last year, and 111 charges were filed, which is the same number as last November.
Through the month of November, 26,220 calls for service have been received this year, and 1,649 adult charges have been filed, alongside 146 juvenile charges.
