Everyone deserves a present on Christmas, including animals.
The Lakeshore Humane Society has come up with a way for the animals in the shelter to experience the joy of opening presents in your pajamas on Christmas morning, through their Shelter Secret Santa program. Simply donate to the shelter in any of four categories, namely $25 for a single cat shelter space, $50 for a multiple cat shelter space, $100 for a cat colony room, or $50 for a dog shelter. Donors will be honored in the space with an ornament with their name on it, while the animals will receive the space, a special holiday treat, and a carefully selected enrichment toy animals can “open” on Christmas morning.
Photos of the animals opening the gifts will be posted on the Lakeshore Humane Society Facebook page on Christmas morning.
