
A 20-year old Sturgeon Bay man is hospitalized with non-life-threatening wounds and a 41-year-old Illinois male is in the Door County Jail after a stabbing incident early Wednesday morning.
A spokesman for the Sturgeon Bay Police Department says officers were called shortly after 5:00 AM to the 200 block of Nebraska Street for the report of a disorderly suspect.
The victim sustained wounds to his right bicep and wrist areas from a machete that the suspect was carrying. The 20-year old male was transported to Door County Medical Center for treatment, while criminal charges against the suspect are pending a review of the case by the Door County District Attorney’s office.
The 41-year old man was still at the scene when officers arrived and was taken into custody without incident.
No immediate word on what lead up to the incident.
