A Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she allegedly struck her boyfriend multiple times.
The victim reported the abuse at around 6:00 PM on Thursday, and officers were dispatched to their home in the 900 block of Circle Drive.
The victim told police that the 46-year-old woman called him a derogatory term for a gay man because he spends time with his friends before she struck him multiple times. He said she was “flailing” her arms at him.
The woman also reportedly punched a television, breaking it in the process.
When officers spoke with the suspect, she was visibly drunk and changed her stories several times. According to police reports, she also continuously told offers to take her to jail.
The officers did comply, and she has been charged with Simple Battery and Criminal Damage to Property, each with a Domestic Violence enhancer.
