There are several new and returning faces who have or will soon be taking over key positions within Manitowoc County.
County Executive Bob Ziegelbauer told SeehaferNews.com that there is now a new County Highway Commissioner.“Greg Grotegut took over late last month,” he explained. “Marc Holsen, our former Highway Commissioner, did an excellent job. He is leaving for a private sector opportunity, and we wish him well. He did very good work for us. Greg moves up and takes the Highway Commissioner’s job, and he will do a good job too.”
There is a big change in the Health Department this month as well. “Mary Halada is leaving us in December, and Stephanie Lambert is our new Health Officer,” Ziegelbauer explained. “She is coming to us from the CDC in Atlanta Georgia, but she is a Manitowoc native. She is a young person with a lot of credentials. We look forward to Stephanie serving us for a long time.”
The final change comes in the Finance Department. long time employee, Todd Reckelberg, is retiring on January 15th, and J.J. Gutman will be assuming the Finance Director position.
Ziegelbauer expressed his gratitude to all of the individuals who are leaving their positions within the County and praised the work they have done over the years. He also expressed his excitement over welcoming the new faces into prominent positions.
