A suspect linked to a 1986 murder by DNA has a preliminary hearing scheduled for next Wednesday in Brown County Circuit Court.
65-year-old Lou Griffin was arrested in October. He is charged with first-degree intentional homicide in the killing of Lisa Holstead.
Her body was found partially submerged in a swampy area more than 34 years ago.
Investigators got Griffin’s DNA from discarded beer cans and a cigarette.
He had been released from prison just a month before Holstead’s murder after serving time for sexual assault.
