The Milwaukee Brewers weren’t participants in Thursday’s Rule 5 draft of unprotected players. Milwaukee selected no players and lost none.
The team passed when its turn came. 74 players changed teams.
Since Brewers president of baseball operations Dave Stearns arrived in Milwaukee five years ago, the team has never picked a player in the major-league portion of the draft.
The Brewers currently have four open spots on their 40-man roster. Thursday’s action brought the Major League Baseball winter meetings to a close.
