The Wisconsin Badgers expect to lose their starting center, Kayden Lyles, for the rest of the season.
Offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph says Lyles won’t be back in the next couple of weeks “for sure.”
The redshirt junior suffered an injury to his right leg early in last week’s 14-6 loss to Indiana. Lyles had two surgeries in the offseason before playing well in the first three games.
Freshman Tanor Bortolini of Kewaunee or redshirt junior Cormac Sampson will take his place Saturday at Iowa. Sampson is trying to come back from an injury and his status isn’t known yet.
