The ever, fluctuating number of people seeking treatment for COVID-19 in the 10 hospitals in the Northeast Region has again risen.
After setting a record low on Monday, five more people have been added to the running total, which now sits at 121. Also, the percentage of ICU beds in use has jumped back up 4 percentage points to 83%.
The Manitowoc County Health Department reported an additional 51 new cases yesterday as well. That coupled with 42 recoveries, means the pandemic totals are now at 5,295 cases, 1,720 of which remain active, and 3,537 recoveries.
No new deaths were reported for the third day in a row, leaving that total at 38, and the addition of 103 negative tests brings that total up to 24,029.
Meanwhile, Sheboygan County is nearing the 10,000-case mark after yesterday’s update.
The Sheboygan County Division of Public Health reported 177 new cases, and 120 recoveries, which brings their totals up to 9,823 cases, 1,952 of which are still active, and 7,805 recoveries.
There were no new deaths reported, leaving their death toll at 66, and the addition of 200 negative tests gives them a total of 37,344.
