A 52-year-old Door County woman accused of stabbing her roommate to death last summer has entered a plea of not guilty.
Susan Soukup says she became angry when the victim didn’t want to hear about her day and she obsessed over it. When the woman was sleeping, Soukup stabbed her in the neck, then stabbed her four or five more times as they fought.
Soukup is charged with first-degree intentional homicide. When she called 911 to report the attack she told dispatchers she “just did something really terrible.”
She returns to court in February.
