A 21-year old Two Rivers man was transported to the Manitowoc County Jail last night after he tried to flee police officers.
An officer from the Two Rivers Police Department attempted to stop a vehicle traveling southbound on Mishicot Road for a traffic violation shortly after 6:30 PM.
A brief pursuit ensued with speeds reaching approximately 60 mph until the motorist turned onto an access road for a retention pond in the 2900 block of Forest Avenue.
The driver fled on foot but was apprehended a short time later without incident.
Nobody was injured and Two Rivers Police were assisted by the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office.
