University of Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez says the Big Ten should do what other conferences have done for their top teams – take steps to help Ohio State qualify for the national championship.
The Buckeyes are running out of time to get six games played. That’s the conference minimum to qualify for its title game.
O-S-U has games against Michigan and Michigan State remaining, but Michigan is on pause and its Saturday game this week is canceled.
Most of the sentiment outside the Big Ten is that Ohio State should be left behind, but that may just indicate that nobody wants to play the undefeated Buckeyes.
