One of the biggest news stories over the past couple of weeks has been the approval of some COVID-19 vaccines.
Manitowoc County Emergency Services Director Travis Waack said the County is working on an “aggressive plan” to get the vaccines out to citizens. He told SeehaferNews.com, “We want to make sure that as soon as it’s authorized, we are ready.”
Waack said their plan has several components, explaining, “One of them is simple logistics…but now one of the big things we need is people who can actually administer vaccines.”
He explained that they are looking to hire people who have a state license to administer the vaccines, namely nurses, physicians assistants, EMTs, and others. The position will start pay at $20 an hour.
Those who wish to apply can do so by going to www.co.manitowoc.wi.us/employment/.
