
The Two Rivers City Council met Monday night and gave final approval for the 2021 City Budget.
During his weekly Two Rivers City Update Tuesday morning, City Manager Greg Buckley explained that the budget is about a $35 million spending plan, and said, “Our General Fund budget, at $10.6 million is up only 6/10ths of a percent from last year.”
He also said, “Probably one of the headlines out of the budget certainly is that there is no increase in the City’s portion of the tax bill this year…There likewise are no plans for any increases in our utility rates.”
Buckley also explained that the budget maintains the quality level of services such as police, fire, public works, and parks.
