The Milwaukee Brewers have made their first addition to the major league roster for this current offseason.
The team announced Tuesday that it has agreed to terms on a contract with catcher Luke Maile. He was with the Pirates last season but missed all of the action while rehabbing a broken finger.
Maile has played portions of five Major League Baseball seasons with the Tampa Bay Rays and Toronto Blue Jays. He’s known as a solid defender who has a lifetime batting average of .198 in 657 plate appearances.
