A fire at an Appleton home has claimed the life of one individual.
The fire at a home in the 1500 block of North Clark Street was reported to the Appleton Fire Department at around 5:30 Saturday morning, and upon arrival, crews say the home was completely engulfed in flames.
As they were battling the blaze, firefighters found the body of a man who had died in the home.
The fire was brought under control after a 30-minute battle, but the home is considered a total loss.
The cause of the fire and the man’s death have not yet been released, and the incident is still under investigation.
