MONDAY
– The Manitowoc Police Department is looking for information in regard to a dog bite incident that occurred over the weekend. According to Captain Jeremy Kronforst, an individual was walking his dog on East Cedar Drive near Stangel Learning Community sometime between 4:20 and 5:30 PM on November 21st, when another dog approached and bit the victim. Anyone with any information is encouraged to contact the Police Department at 920-686-6500, or Crime Stoppers at 920-683-4466.
-A fire in Sheboygan County completely destroyed a large garage over the weekend. The cause of the fire at N-9642 Little Elkhart Lake Road in the Town of Rhine has not yet been determined. A total of 12 fire departments were called to battle the blaze.
– Over the weekend, multiple reports were filed with the Green Bay Police Department of items being stolen from vehicles. The reports came in on Sunday, and all of them came from the area west of King Elementary School and He-Nis-Ra Park. The thefts reportedly happened between 10:00 PM on Saturday and 2:00 AM on Sunday.

TUESDAY
– A Manitowoc man is facing charges after he allegedly choked and threatened his girlfriend. The victim told police that he strangled her and hit her, and after the attack threatened to kill her if she reported it. He has been charged with Battery and Strangulation and Suffocation, both with Domestic Violence enhancers.
– The first reported area casualty of the deer hunting season occurred over the weekend in Door County. 65-year-old West Bend resident, Steven Hoogester was hunting on Door County’s Washington Island at around 5:00 PM on Sunday when he accidentally shot himself. Reports indicate the accidental discharge occurred as he was exiting a ground blind.
– A Green Bay man will be spending the next 18-years of his life in prison after he was found to have caused the death of his 23-day-old son. Police records show that rescue crews found the child unresponsive in the home of Jeremiah Thomas, and that the infant had suffered two skull fractures, 10 broken ribs, and breaks in both of his legs.
– Road America has submitted it’s application to the Department of Transportation to become an Authorized Special Group, which means you may soon be able to buy a custom license plate for your vehicle. The proposed plate would have the Road America Logo on the left, and their full name along the bottom.
WEDNESDAY
– A Manitowoc man, who was arrested earlier this year for holding inappropriate conversations with a teenager, has been sentenced to serve 7 years and 6 months in prison. 29-year-old Eric Fisher pleaded no contest to charges of Soliciting an Intimate Representation of a Minor, and Using a Computer to Facilitate a Sex Crime, while 11 other charges were dismissed.
– Police are still searching for a Sheboygan teen who is believed to have been involved in a carjacking spree earlier this month. 17-year-old Lucas E. Lamont Brown has been officially charged in the case after he, along with 17-year-old Dequon Curtis Rushing of Manitowoc stole a car from Manitowoc and another from Sheboygan with AK-47 style weapons. Anyone with any information on Brown’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact your local police station.
– All across Facebook over the weekend, it seemed that nearly everyone was posting pictures of their hunting excursions for opening weekend, and nearly everyone got a deer of some kind. The Wisconsin DNR says that is the case across the state, as 92,257 deer were harvested and registered, with 49,052 of them being bucks.

THURSDAY
– Two people have died after an accident Wednesday afternoon in Manitowoc County. The crash occurred at the intersection of County Highways A and X sotuh of St. Nazianz. Two people in a car died, and the driver was treated at a hospital. The driver of the semi involved did not appear to suffer any injuries.
– A Green Bay man has been arrested and is facing federal gun and drug charges. While details of what lead to his arrest are not known at this time, we do know that 32-year-old John Yang was taken into custody on Monday in the 700 block of West Walnut Street in Green Bay. Yang reportedly resisted arrest, and was in possession of methamphetamine and a semi-automatic firearm which had it’s serial number scratched off.
– Holy Family Memorial has opened a brand-new drive thru COVID-19 testing site at their location on Rapids Road in Manitowoc. This new site will offer COVID-19 testing by appointment with no out-of-pocket expense to those being tested. Pre-procedure COVID-19 tests will also be available at this location.
– Many people are celebrating thanksgiving a little different this year, a fact that was not lost on DATCP Secretary-designee Randy Romanski. In an open letter, he reflects on this crazy year and the sacrifices made during the holiday season, saying, “I (along with many others) wish this holiday season were different, but I understand we need to make these difficult choices now for our individual health, for the health and safety of those we love, and for our state.” He did also say that for many farm families, some traditions will remain alive and well. “Parents and children across Wisconsin will wake up before dawn to milk their cows,” Romanski explained. “Milk haulers will still drive down town roads, emptying bulk tanks and hauling full loads to our cheese processors.”
FRIDAY
– A 29-year-old Appleton Woman has died following an accident on I-41 in Brown County. According to reports, the Lawrence Fire Department and Hobart Police were on the scene of a previous crash at around 10:30 PM Wednesday evening, when the SUV, driven by the unnamed woman, rear-ended the fire truck.
– Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels has announced his intention to run for another term in the 2021 Mayoral Election. Chris Able has announced that he will begin collecting signatures on December 1st and plans on challenging Nickels. The 2021 Mayoral Election is scheduled to take place on April 6th.
– There are still a few deer hunters that have not filled their bag limit, so there will likely be many hunters in the woods again this weekend attempting to snag the proverbial 30-pointer. The DNR is reminding those who are going out this weekend to remember to keep yourself safe, and follow gun safety guidelines.
