Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels
Manitowoc Mayor Justin Nickels has announced his intention to run for another term in the 2021 Mayoral Election.
Nickels has been serving the city of Manitowoc since 2005 when as an 18-year-old, he was elected to serve on the City Council as the District 2 Alderman. Then 4 years later, Nickels became the youngest Mayor in the City’s now 150-year history.
In a new release, Mayor Nickels thanked his constituents for their support, saying, “Every year I have seen more excitement, more growth, more fun, more positive. That’s because of YOU. You’ve entrusted me to an office and I work every day to push those things, but it is because of you that they become reality.”
Chris Able has announced that he will begin collecting signatures on December 1st and plans on challenging Nickels.
The 2021 Mayoral Election is scheduled to take place on April 6th.
