The Christmas season at Journey Community Church in De Pere begins this Sunday as they launch their theme of the season, “The Weary World Rejoices.”
In a news release, Cahz Pelky, the Associate Pastor of Discipleship at Journey, explained that their goal this Christmas season is to “present the reason why the weary world can rejoice this year.”
To kick off the Christmas season they have arranged for a special Star Lighting Ceremony this Sunday, November 29 at 6:00 pm.
Then, through December 13th, they will have their giving tree erected, which will have tags that can be taken to meet the needs of certain individuals in our community.
This year, they are focusing on the Healthcare Workers, Police/Fire, and EMT, Teachers, and School Professionals, Elderly and High Risk, those dealing with physical/financial/mental health issues.
