Milwaukee County Clerk George Christenson expects the recount of 460,000 ballots from the November 3rd election to be completed by mid-day Friday.
Canvassers have just 65 ballots left to check, then there will be a lot of paperwork.
The last 65 ballots were found in a voting machine that apparently hadn’t been emptied on Election Day. They will be counted in front of observers.
Dane County still has some more work to do. Canvassers are taking today (Thanksgiving Day) off, and will resume their duties Friday.
County Clerk Scott McDonell says he expects his recount to be complete Sunday.
