A beloved holiday tradition is back in Manitowoc. Lights at Lincoln Park has returned for the 9th year in a row, and according to Doug Koch, it’s bigger and better than ever.
“The first show was about two blocks long with maybe 6 to 8 wild animals,” Koch explained. “Today it’s nearly a mile long with over 70 wild animals.” Koch also said they are featuring, “A herd of deer, pack of wolves, prairie dogs, animated butterflies plus a pod of dolphins along with three monkeys playing in a tree just to name a few.”
Koch tells SeehaferNews.com that Lights in Lincoln Park draws people from all over the Midwest. “A family drove from Thiensville (near Milwaukee) just to see the light show,” he said. “And one year a woman drove from Freeport Illinois to participate in the Family Night Fun Walk. That’s unbelievable!”
Seehafer Broadcasting is proud to be a part of it all as Koch explained. “Jim Medley put together a piece of music with background sounds of animals along with other information about the Light Show to provide a real feel about the experience.”
The Drive-Thru tour of Holiday Wonder opens to patrons Friday and is held Thursday thru Saturday until December 12th then nightly December 17th thru 29th from 5 to 8 p.m.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no Santa nights but the Family Night Fun Walk will take place December 30th from 5 to 8 p.m. Cost is $5 per individual and $10 per family with all proceeds benefitting the Lincoln Park Zoological Society.
