
The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Department is leading the investigation into a fatal shooting Sunday that involved Eau Claire County deputies, Eau Claire police, and the Wisconsin State Patrol.
The incident happened in the Town of Washington a little before 4:00 p-m.
Eau Claire County Sheriff Ron Cramer says less-lethal options were attempted before shots were fired, leaving a man dead.
His name hasn’t been released.
Authorities say he was armed and uncooperative. He died before he could be rushed to a hospital.
