Road America has submitted its application to the Department of Transportation to become an Authorized Special Group, which means you may soon be able to buy a custom license plate for your vehicle.
Along with the application, Road America needed to submit a $15,500 application fee, and provide at least 500 signatures of Wisconsin residents who intended to purchase such a license plate, which they did.
By law, there is now a comment period open for people to file any objections, which must be received by December 17th. Any objections will then be reviewed by both houses of the legislature.
The proposed plate would have the Road America Logo on the left, and their full name along the bottom.
