A Green Bay man accused of a double murder was ordered to undergo a competency exam by the court.
29-year-old Oscar Lemus-Franco is facing charges in the deaths of Gerson Alvarez-Franco, and Jaimie Lemus, who died on September 28th.
The court asked for the competency exam to see if Lemus-Franco has the ability to understand the proceedings and assist in his own defense.
Defense attorney Shannon Viel said due to his client’s mental state, he is unable to have meaningful discussions with Lemus-Franco.
Lemus-Franco will be back in court on December 18th, where the results of his psychiatric exam will be discussed.
