Bail is set at $200 cash for a Manitowoc man arrested for his sixth OWI over the weekend.
Brian K. Kamke is also charged with Felony Bail Jumping. Officers were called to the area of Clipper Drive and South 42nd Street early Sunday evening where Kamke crashed his vehicle into a utility pole and left the scene. Kamke told the witness of the accident that he would call police once he got home. That witness was able to obtain the license plate number and contacted Kamke who was described as “visibly intoxicated.”
Police took him to Holy Family Memorial for a blood draw, and then he was taken to the County Jail. Conditions of bail are that Kamke maintain “absolute sobriety,” report to MPD for photos and prints and take no prescription medications with the exception of those specifically prescribed to him.
He remains in the County Jail with his initial appearance scheduled for next Monday at 1:30 PM.
