A mother and son from New Prague are under arrest in connection with the 2013 death of a missing man.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office says 62-year-old Connie Herbst and 26-year-old Austin Herbst are suspected in the second-degree murder of 63-year-old Gary Herbst of Elko New Market.
Gary Herbst was reported missing in 2014 and his body was found in late 2017 in Barron County, Wisconsin.
Austin reportedly admitted to shooting his abusive father.
