A 39-year-old driver has been sentenced to three years in prison for fatally injuring a pedestrian in Ashwaubenon last November after smoking pot.
Chad Scott has pleaded guilty to Hit-and-Run Involving Death, and his defense had asked for probation.
After the sentencing in a Brown County courtroom, Scott apologized to the family of Derrick Murphy, who was killed.
Scott told investigators he had smoked marijuana about two-to-three hours before the fatal accident the night of November 29th.
