A Manitowoc man, who has been arrested multiple times in the past for run-ins with his mother, is once again facing charges after a confrontation with his mother.
Officers were dispatched to a home in the 2000 block of Hamilton Street at around 11:30 PM on Wednesday on a disorderly conduct report.
The victim told officers that she had a verbal argument with her son about his “lack of contributions to the family”. The 31-year-old reportedly punched his mother in the face as she sat in her wheelchair, and then pushed her over.
The suspect had fled the scene by the time officers arrived, but he was found walking near the intersection of Washington and South 18th Streets, and he was arrested. He has been charged with Simple Battery with a Domestic Violence Order.
The suspect was arrested in April of 2018 after he attempted to force his way into his mother’s home. He was also arrested in June of this year after he broke a window in his mother’s residence because she wouldn’t feed him.
