Bail is set at $500 recognizance bond for a 31-year-old Manitowoc man who’s facing charges after getting into a confrontation with his mother.
Edwin Guzman-Galarza is charged with Simple Battery with a Domestic Violence Order. Police were called to a residence in the 2000 Block of Hamilton late last (Wednesday) night for a Disorderly Conduct Incident.
She told officers a verbal argument ensued as she confronted her son about his lack of contributions to the family which, according to police, led Guzman-Galarza to punch her in the face while she was in her wheelchair, pushing her over.
He fled the scene and was apprehended shortly afterwards.
Conditions of Bail are that Guzman-Galarza have no contact with his mother and report to MPD for photos and prints.
His initial appearance is scheduled for December 10th at 11:00 AM.
