A 39-year-old Manitowoc woman is facing charges after she allegedly attempted to kick officers while being arrested.
Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1400 block of Lee Circle just before 9:00 Saturday evening on a family trouble call. The caller said that her girlfriend was intoxicated and was destroying their joint residence. The woman informed officers that she had picked the suspect up from the bar, and an argument ensued.
When officers attempted to take the woman into custody, the woman reportedly tensed up and made it difficult for officers to put handcuffs on her. While being taken to the squad car, she reportedly kicked at officers but missed.
She was eventually taken to the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of Disorderly Conduct with a Domestic Violence Order, Resisting or Obstructing an Officer, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping.
