
Brown County Parks Department reports that some park areas in the County Park System will be closed at sunrise on Saturday, November 21st through sunset on Sunday, November 29th to allow for the Wisconsin 9-day Deer Gun Season.
Barkhausen Waterfowl Preserve and the Fort Howard Paper Foundation Wildlife Area trails and grounds will be closed to all entry during the deer gun season except by those persons possessing a valid County special hunt permit.
All trails will be closed for the deer gun season at the Reforestation Camp as well. Lily Lake Park picnic grounds and boat launch remain open, but the Vande Hei Property will only be open to hunter access during this season.
Hunting is prohibited on both the Fox River Trail and Mountain-Bay Trail.
Hiking and biking are allowed on the trails, however, adjoining private property may be open to hunting. It is recommended that hikers and bikers wear blaze orange for safety.
