The Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center has several events planned for the next three weekends.
The first of these will take place this Saturday, where people are able to learn all about the cranberry farming industry in the state. Wisconsin actually accounts for 60% of the nation’s cranberry harvest, and Farm Wisconsin is celebrating that with an extensive cranberry display from 9:00 -1:00 PM.
Then next Saturday, families can learn what it’s like to work on a farm with their Farmer for a Day event. Participants will be able to learn many things, such as how to shuck corn quickly, and the properties of several feedstuffs fed to our cows.
And finally, those who bring a non-perishable food item to the Discovery Center will get in for half price November 27th through the 19th. All proceeds will go to Grow it Forward.
