A plan to pause COVID-19 testing at three locations in eastern Wisconsin has some local officials concerned.
Advocate Aurora Health says staffing is a key issue as the number of patients being hospitalized has surged in recent weeks. Its drive-thru and walk-up testing is being put on hold at Aurora Sinai in Milwaukee and locations in Kenosha and Green Bay. Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett called the decision a “mistake.” A spokesperson said Aurora is still conducting tens of thousands of tests each week. There is no timeline for the resumption of community testing.
