
The Sheboygan Police Department is currently investigating a shots fired incident which coincided with the theft of a vehicle.
According to police reports, they were called to the area of Union Avenue and South 15th Street at around 6:00 PM Monday evening, and learned that not only were shots fired, but an unknown number of people had attempted to steal a car from an individual who was still in the car.
They were able to drive away, but the suspects shot at the car, hitting it with an unspecified number of rounds. The victim was not struck. A short time later, a different vehicle was stolen in the 1300 block of North 15th Street.
That vehicle was found, along with another vehicle which was stolen in the Manitowoc area traveling on I-43. Spike strips were deployed successfully on the vehicle from Manitowoc, and two teenage males were taken into custody.
The other vehicle has not yet been located; however, officials have cultivated a list of suspects.
