
For the second day in a row, the number of people who were listed as recovered from COVID-19 outweighed the number of new cases in Manitowoc County.
According to yesterday’s report from the Manitowoc County Health Department, 44 new cases were added, along with 60 recoveries. Also, 124 negative tests came back, leaving the pandemic totals at 3,601 cases, 1,906 of which remain active, 1,674 recoveries, and 20,986 negative tests.
No new deaths were reported, leaving that total at 21.
The City of Manitowoc remains the most effected municipality in the County, with 46.9% of all cases stemming from the Clipper City. Two Rivers accounts for the next highest percentage, at 14.1%. They are followed by Kiel who account for 9.7% Reedsville at 6.8% and Valders at 3.9%.
Meanwhile in Sheboygan County, the Division of Public Health reported 231 new cases between Friday and Monday, along with 286 recoveries, and 555 negative tests. This brings their pandemic totals up to 6,122 cases, 1,947 of which remain active, 4,143 recoveries, and 32,206 negative tests.
No new deaths were reported, leaving their total at 35.
