A Waukesha County judge has set bail for 23-year-old Nathanael Benton at $1.5 million
Benton is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide for shooting two police officers in an ambush last week.
He’s scheduled to return to court Friday.
Police say he shot the officers during a confrontation outside a motel in Delafield.
One of the victims suffered three gunshot wounds, but both officers are expected to survive.
The incident was caught on a body camera worn by one of them.
