
Cranberries will likely take their place on thousands of Wisconsin Thanksgiving tables in a few weeks and in advance of that, Farm Wisconsin Discovery Center and the Wisconsin State Cranberry Growers Association will host an educational Cranberry Day feature at Farm Wisconsin November 14th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Farm Wisconsin guests can learn about cranberry agriculture in-depth and take part in cranberry related activities. Guests will learn about the unique bouncing-property of cranberries, how cranberries float in water, why cranberry juice is red, and more.
All additional attractions and activities will be included in the regular admission fees.
Wisconsin is the nation’s leading producer of cranberries, harvesting more than 60 percent of the country’s crop. As the state’s official fruit, cranberries bring more economic value to Wisconsin than any other fruit grown in the state.
Farm Wisconsin is open weekly Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular admission rates range from $8 for youth 18 and younger to $16 for adults. Family memberships provide free admission for a year, as well as other benefits, and cost $80.
