A former star at Stevens Point Area High School has been named to the Julius Erving national watch list.
Sam Hauser’s name is on the list of the top 20 small forwards in college basketball.
Hauser will play for the Virginia Cavaliers this season after sitting out a year following his transfer from Marquette.
He averaged almost 15 points and more than seven rebounds-a-game during his junior season with the Golden Eagles.
The six-foot-eight Hauser has one year of eligibility left.
