The Green Bay Packers held on to first place in the N-F-C North Thursday by steamrolling San Francisco 34-17.
The game wasn’t even that close, as the Packers defense only allowed 3 points through 3 quarters of play as they played without QB Jimmy Garoppolo, TE George Kittle, and several others due to injury and COVID-19. The 49ers did score two times late in the game to make the final score more respectable.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers threw four touchdown passes and finished with 305 yards through the air. Davante Adams caught 10 of those passes for 173 yards and scored on a circus catch in the end zone.
Running back Aaron Jones wasn’t expected to play, but instead, he got a full workload with 20 touches good for 79 yards. Marquez Valdes-Scantling made up for a drop by scoring twice on passes from Rodgers.
The next game for Green Bay is at Lambeau Field, November 15th against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
