Despite a psychiatrist’s report saying the opposite, the Green Bay man who was arrested after allegedly stabbing a Green Bay Police K9 believes he is ready to go to trial.
31-year-old Sai Vang was charged with Causing Injury to a Police Animal, Resisting an Officer, and Disorderly Conduct, stemming from an incident on April 7th, 2019 where he stabbed K9 Pyro.
Vang’s defense attorney told the court on Tuesday that Vang was not contesting the ruling that he was not competent to stand trial, but he does feel that he is able to understand the proceedings, and can assist in his own defense.
A status conference has been scheduled for November 30th.
