The attorney for a Green Bay man accused of stabbing a police dog says his client is contesting a ruling that he isn’t competent to stand trial.
Thirty-one-year-old Sai Vang faces three charges including causing injury to a police animal. A status conference is scheduled for November 30th in Brown County Circuit Court. Green Bay Police were called to a west-side home last year because Vang had threatened to kill his father. When he refused to surrender, police dog Pyro was sent in. Pyro bit Vang and Vang stabbed the dog.
