A Brown County woman is facing several charges after she allegedly attempted to convince her father to kill himself last year.
55-year-old Teal Peters entered a not guilty plea on all charges on Monday, which includes Recklessly Subject an Individual at Risk to Abuse, False Imprisonment, 1st Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and Intimidate Victim/Use or Attempt Force.
Officials were called to a home on Moon Drive last summer on a report of a suicidal man, but they noted some inconsistencies with the situation. An investigation revealed that Peters had attempted to convince the 81-year-old man to kill himself for the financial gain of not only herself, but other family members.
Others facing charges in the case are the victim’s wife, Mary and his grandsons Troy and Justin.
